Episode 024: Cormac Bluestone
Good morning! This is Play It like It's Music, I'm Trevor. Thanks for listening.
We are back.
On Wednesday, January the 29th of 2020, music is not content, it's connection.*
*and if you like the show, please tell a friend!
My friend Cormac Bluestone does it all: music, comedy, casting, directing, coaching, you name it. But he’s not a typical slasher, he’s got a unique talent for finding the humor inside of music, and also finding the music inside of humor. That’s why he’s an indispensable asset on shows like It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and The Cool Kids, as well as scads of theater credits and even TV acting credits.
The guy knows his stuff, and he’s here to let you in on a few things.
OK, so WHY talk to Cormac?
Aside from wanting to catch up with a friend of over 20 years, I wanted to get a sense of how he keeps it together. The man is busy on both coasts and just had his second kid, but manages to keep the calm voice of the captain with every new twist that catches him, blowing the competition out of the water with every new deadline.
My hat is off to the guy, and yours will be too once you get a sense of all that’s going on here.
We get into a lot, so THANKS to Cormac for opening up his mind and his space for us. I hope you get as much out of it as I did.

We're all contending with a mutating professional landscape, jacked revenue streams and a lot of noise out there in the culture. But you gotta keep playing.
We don't draw any lines here between scenes or styles.
As always, thank you for listening and remember to play it like its music.
Big love to your ears.
Trevor
